Steps
- Log on to your eBay account. If you do not have one, you will need to make one before beginning.
- Have a list handy of the items you are interested in buying. Search one. Once your results have come up, edit your requirements. For example: free shipping, buy it now, brand new, in the US only.
- Set your price. Setting the prices you are willing to pay is of great importance. For example: $1 - $10.
- Compare the prices of each item. When you find the cheapest one, check it out. Make sure it is from a top rated seller, and read the feedback. Also make sure the item image was taken in the seller's own home.
- Make sure the item you are interested in is in top condition, and look at the images closely to make sure the seller is not lying about item condition.
- Talk with the seller or people who have done business with the seller to find out just how satisfying the customer service was. If you don't think it will be a good deal, look at the next cheapest item.
Tips
- Always check to make sure the seller of the item you are interested in is at their home and not away on a business trip, vacation, etc.
- Never buy from sellers with bad feedback.
- Only buy from eBay top rated sellers. (97%-100%.)
- Make sure the image of the item is not a stock photo.
- Shop on days when you are not busy so you can really settle down and consider purchases.
- Compare prices to make sure you are getting the best deal possible.
Warnings
- Do not buy from a seller who is away on vacation. This information is given to you at the top of the page of an item you are currently viewing. If you do buy from a seller away on vacation, expect a delay in your item's shipment and arrival.
- Don't allow yourself to be scammed. If the image of the item is blurry, or the item appears to be in bad condition, message the seller asking them for a different image of the product.
- Check the seller's feedback. Never buy from a seller with mostly negative feedback and angry, unsatisfied customers.
- Make sure the image item is not a stock photo. You need to see an image of the item that will actually be given to you.
