Managing a website is one thing. Making new content to keep the traffic is another story. Making GOOD content to bring in more traffic is yet a different story. This article will help you for that.
Steps
- Ask yourself: What kind of website am I running? If it's a podcast, obviously people would want new episodes. A blog? New blog posts. A music site? Updates, and possibly, new music to listen. But that doesn't mean you should stick to posting things based on what your site is based on.
- Consider posting interesting events in your life. Doesn't matter what kind of site you run. Sometimes people are more interested in the man (or woman) behind the posts.
- Brainstorm a bit. Discuss with some friends (regardless whether they have contributed to the site or not). Maybe a friend might suggest something really cool?
- Ask the readers themselves. Sounds like a last resort, but this will let them know that the poster cares about his audience.
